This page explains what Ichimuhan collects when you create a seat, what it is used for, and what it is never used for.

01. What we collect

Creating a seat asks for an email address, either through Google sign-in or a magic link sent to that address. No password is ever collected or stored. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and profile image from Google along with your email.

A phone number is optional and is asked for separately, in settings, after you already have a seat. It is collected only to reserve the number for SMS alerts should that channel be turned on in future, it is not used for anything else, and it is never shared or sold. It is not currently used to send any message.

If you contact the desk directly, we keep the content of that message so we can respond to it. We also keep basic account activity, such as when a seat was created and when it was last used, so we can keep the account secure and answer support questions.

02. How we use it

  • To give you access to the desk and its published positions.
  • To send fill, stop move and exit alerts by email.
  • To respond when you reply to a note or contact the desk directly.
  • To bill your seat and tell you if a payment fails.
  • To keep the account secure, including detecting unusual sign in activity.
  • To enforce one free trial per person, using your email to check eligibility.

03. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. A short list of providers process it on our behalf, only for the purpose each one exists to serve:

  • Google, if you choose to sign in with a Google account.
  • Resend, to deliver magic link, alert, and account emails.
  • Streampay, to process payment for a seat. See section 05.
  • Our hosting and database provider, to run the site and store your account. It does not use your data for any purpose of its own.

We do not share your information with any other party, and we do not share it for advertising purposes at all.

04. What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade your email address to anyone. Any message we send you is about your own seat and the positions you subscribed to see, nothing else.

We do not run third party advertising trackers on this site.

05. Payment information

Billing is handled by Streampay, a third party payment processor. Ichimuhan never sees or stores your card details. The processor shares with us only what is needed to keep your seat active: whether a payment succeeded, and the date of the next charge.

06. Cookies and local storage

This site uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. This storage is not shared with third parties and is not used to track you across other sites.

07. Security

There is no password to steal, because there is no password: every seat signs in with Google or a one-time magic link. Card details never reach our servers at all, they are entered directly with Streampay. Access to the systems behind the desk is limited to the analyst and admin roles that need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee it against every possible risk.

08. International transfers

Our hosting, database, and the providers listed in section 03 may process or store data in a country other than the one you live in. Where that happens, we rely on those providers' own safeguards for handling data across borders.

09. Retention

Account information is kept for as long as your seat is active. If you cancel, we keep the minimum billing records required for accounting and legal purposes, and delete the rest on request. A record that your email already used its free trial is kept permanently, to prevent the same trial being claimed twice.

10. Children

Ichimuhan is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from a child. If you believe a child has created a seat, contact the desk and it will be removed.

11. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. Contact the desk directly to make that request, and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can.

Note. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data protection law. This page describes our general practice and is not a substitute for advice on those specific rights.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to let existing subscribers know before it takes effect. Continuing to use a seat after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
